French Language

"While you are in France you have to speak French" this is the statement one lady answered me when I ask from her something in English. I am from Pakistan and we are far away from France and I don't even heard a single word of French language in my life. Its natural as we have second language as English and our official language is English.

Let me describe another personal experience; In the first day of the M2R our French professor was describing the courses and evaluation process. Suddenly he impose a question (in French) and i just answered "My name is Hina". Where the question asked was "Did you have met with the director of the LAB MIA".

Do you have such type experience regarding French language?

"French Language is a Pain"

I found French Language a difficult language as compare to English. Specially the pronunciation of the words is very tough for me.

What is the most difficult part in learning French?

Laws in France

When you are abroad or in your own country you are supposed to abide by the LAWS of the STATE. And this statement got more importance when you are abroad. So it is important for the foreigners to have information about the Laws of the country they are living in. Let us discuss the the Laws in France.

Liberté, égalité, fraternité, or in English Liberty, equality, brotherhood is the French national motto. The official logo of the French government is given above and you will find this logo at every official document in the gouvernement offices in France.

Let me mention some laws in France:

Equality: All the forms of racism is forbidden in France everyone. All french citizens are equal in rights without the restriction of religion, origin and due to some other differences. Equality of rights of women and men is an integral part of the French society both are have equal rights. Liberty of marriage, work.

I think most of the countries describe the same LAW, but there is always a difference between the migrant and orginal national.

What is your opinion about this?

Also equality of rights for the women...i have some reservations about this as in the advanced and developed countries sexual harassment by the male is usual(specially for the working ladies).

What is your opinion about that?

Polygamy is interdict in France. Foreign people who have more then one wife can only come to France with one wife.

What is your opinion about that LAW?

Cultural Activities in France

  1. France has broad and rich culture which has been shaped at different times by different factors like geography, wars, internal forces (French revolution) etc. Paris the capital of France has been considered a hub of modern art, cinema, fashion and foods. France is famous for many things the famous Brands of perfumes and clothes originates from here and spread all over the world. There are certain places which reflect the development of the culture in France, for example whenever one heard the name of country France then naturally one thought about The Eiffel Tower; a famous church in Paris known as Notre Dame de Paris; Muséé de Louvre is a famous museum in Paris which reflects the fantastic art collection from all over the world as well as it contains the history of France itself from the 12th century and even before.

Let me give my personal experience, before I came here in France I was known to the city of Paris by fashion news. I have heard only about the city of Paris; some places I have mentioned above. You can say that for me FRANCE was just PARIS .

What do you think! FRANCE is only PARIS? Is it true? or there are some other interesting places in France?

The first time i have visited Paris in summer 2010 and after visiting the famous places like The Eiffle Tower, Chateau de Varsaille, Notre dame etc. I was tired of travelling in metro, RER etc travelling with in Paris is not an easy task. There are a lot of people in metro you can't even have a proper seat and everyone is in hurry.

Have you visited Paris?

If yes! describe your experience of visit?

In my opinion Paris is not an appropriate city for living. A lot of problems like many big cities of the world have; pollution, busy roads, travelling problem, residence problem etc

What do you think about that?

There are different cultural activities which are spread over the whole year for example fete de la Musique is one of them. I am living in La Rochelle and I have the opportunity to see this fete which was amazing and my little daughter(who is é and half years old) enjoyed a lot with us. Above is the image of a group of drummers who did an excellent job and amused us a lot.

Did you have seen this festival?

If yes! the How did you find this festival?
